This time Google is thinking beyond Penguin and Panda algorithm updates. You would have experienced seeing hacked websites in search results many a times. This is frustrating both for the marketers and the webmasters. Now, the search engine giant Google has a remedy for this ailment. If reports are to be believed, Google is aggressively working on a search algorithm changes that will target the presence of hacked websites in its search results.
Googler Ning Song wrote in his blog post that Google has put a team of engineers to work on algorithms remove hacked sites from Google’s search results:
We are aggressively targeting hacked spam in order to protect users and webmasters.The algorithmic changes will eventually impact roughly 5% of queries, depending on the language. As we roll out the new algorithms, users might notice that for certain queries, only the most relevant results are shown, reducing the number of results shown.
This is due to the large amount of hacked spam being removed, and should improve in the near future. We are continuing tuning our systems to weed out the bad content while retaining the organic, legitimate results.
Hacked websites / hacked spam have been a big issue for the web and Google as well. The problem is equally alarming for the Google and several steps have been taken so far from the company to tackle the menace.
Earlier this year, IT security company Sophos reveled that they had notified Google about hundreds of thousands” of high-ranking, cloaked PDF documents on hacked websites. Even in 2013, Google itself revealed that hacked sites were the second most common cause of manual actions. Around that same time, Google launched a help center for hacked sites that’s still online today.

This could be interesting. Sounds like a take care of on identifying and de-indexing hacked pages. Would website admins be informed through the search console if Google has identified the hack strive this new algo.?
